SuperNode has responded to the UK Government’s consultation on Proposed Amendments for Allocation Round 7 and Future Rounds.
SuperNode supports DESNZ’s efforts to incentivise offshore wind projects, multi-purpose interconnectors and better system coordination both domestic and international. The response specifically supports the proposed use of an offshore bidding zone approach for cross border electricity trading and the use of offshore bootstraps to improve the coordination of offshore transmission infrastructure.
