New European Wind Atlas finalised

Over the last four years, researchers from all over Europe have been working on creating a New European Wind Atlas. The results are being presented in Brussels today.

A mix of 30 partners from academia and industry in eight different countries have been collaborating across Europe on creating the New European Wind Atlas (NEWA) for the last four years.

Jakob Mann, professor at DTU Wind Energy and responsible for the project explains: “NEWA is the largest and most detailed data sets for validation and assessment of wind conditions.”

NEWA will be available for anyone to use – visit the website.
