ENTSO-E: TYNDP 2022 CBA Implementation Guidelines

SuperNode has submitted its response to the ENTSO-E consultation ‘Ten Year Network Development Plan (TYNDP) 2022 Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) Implementation Guidelines’.

ENTSO-E is the organisation of European Transmission System Operators.

SuperNode’s response emphasised the importance of ENTSO-E plans to look and plan out as far as 2050 and to reflect the overarching goal of carbon neutrality. The submission stated:

“There is a strong need to establish what is necessary for economy wide carbon neutrality in 2050 and work back from there, planning and designing a transition to a fit for purpose grid infrastructure. Therefore the CBA needs to be based on scenarios that ensure Europe’s net zero scenarios are reached”.
